Great posts on here now, and the opinion by all is positive in that everybody wants this forum to survive
![]() John has now seen there is massive support from everybody including those who go on the arsebook site, i and many others have too and that's great, but i find it odd that nobody at the top ( admin ) gave a view on this ! Well as far as the CA forum goes, ONWARDS AND UPWARDS !!!!!!!!! Well done John |

What a great thread.
I'd echo many of the previous remarks - CA is a great source of knowledge, encouragement and likeminded friends & contacts. Like others, I don't do Facebook - not because I'm determined not to, just because it doesn't appeal - it has strengths but seems mostly drivel & people who seem to think others give a toss what they're doing. I am clearly not alone in reading CA daily but not posting unless I feel I have something useful to contribute. I often take one of my GT's out and take pics but don't get any which seem good enough to post - maybe we should have extra threads like 'nice try, nearly a good shot' and 'looks kak but it was worth a try'. Note to self - post more often so others know their efforts to load info & photos is appreciated. I'm ordinary at IT but I think linking pics from Photobucket is straight forward, it's the loading them to there which takes the time. To start as I mean to go on I'll stick up a few attempted autumn pics later this eve in case anyone's interested. Keep up the traffic everyone - it is enjoyed and appreciated here

Why don't we prove just how strong this forum is by getting out there and celebrating our 10th anniversary this coming year with our own 'national' meet. It was muted a few weeks ago on another thread but seems to have died a death
![]() Or we could get our act together and put on a club display at the numerous VAG meets around the country, rather than just at AITP and the recent Audi Driver day. Lots to choose from http://www.volkszone.com/?page_id=3 As we have a particularly strong following here in North West England I was going to suggest something for next years VWNW at Tatton and I don't mind organising it! ![]() Thoughts? ![]() Last edited by cjp0349; 29-11-16 at 08:24 PM. |

I haven't read all of the posts myself, but I do find this forum excellent at all times. I'm still twiddling with my B3 and it will no doubt take a bit longer yet. The advice that I've had so far has been brilliant and the motors inspirational. I've never met any of you, but I do trust your advice (if not the musical taste, sometimes...
).The Quattros are all superb, as we all know, but there aren't nearly as many as the run of the mill stuff, like mine. The price of Q's is therefore beyond many of us (I suspect). Still, for all that it's fascinating and (for a car and Audi nerd) inspirational too. My skills aren't up to most of you guys, but a 10 minute look sets me off thinking I could be (in my dreams anyway)! I do agree with the post about more modern classics, though. I run an A6C5 Avant, which can be cranky, has stellar mileage (and had when I bought it) but is a beautiful looking car IMHO. I will hang on to it as long as possible, until someone says that it is a bone fide classic, but I think it is a classic of Audi styling and engineering, without being an electronic starship. S, what I am trying to say is that Facetwitter is for the chattering hordes to talk about putting their socks on. We, you, do Audis and this is our forum. Keep it rollin chaps. |
