Bought some recently for my latest project, non Audi, but VW from VW heritage. Sorry no pounds symbol on my computer, only dollars, I got it cheap from some chap called Trump…..anyway, these caps were $1.60 ( pounds , not dollars ) BUT and here is the but, they are a loose fit and I'm in negotiation to return them as they'll fall off at the first bounce in the road…..
I wonder if they would be any better on an Audi? Only remedy is probably to pad them out inside and then push into position FIRMLY. …..maybe a little chewing gum, used of course, might be an answer ? ![]() |

I find VW Heritage are very good with refund/replacement for, shall we say, unacceptable quality parts
One thing I've learned since my recent Beetle purchase is that the quality of aftermarket parts for classic VWs has not improved since my previous air-cooled itch was scratched Or have I just become more fussy? ![]() So what have you got now Frank and which, if any, of the Audis have gone? |

Um, I dont know - now I'm disconnected from the trade and my discount I'm less likely to ring TPS and find out!! Just being a skinflint I guess! Was hoping to stumble across a pair so I could chuck one at Bruce too, i still owe him a favour after he stepped aside back when Lee had those side repeaters for sale

Got ya about the bruce bit. I could be wrong but they are probably available and cost just a few quid each, probably less than some obeyers sell them for. Most ebayers rely on the fact everybody thinks most stuff is NLA. I think i'm going to find out now as i split one of mine on the cabby when i took it off to check the top mounts. And the left one showed a bigger gap than it should.
Although i didn't make any noises as i drive out like a grandad mostly. |

Don't even know where its gone, haven't lost one before in 15 years of B3 ownership!! May try the dealer if cant turn any up. Arent the cabby ones a different style due to the strut brace, secured by speed-nuts?
