No I was only messing, course I'm not offended.

At the risk of sounding a bit negative and non appreciative though I have to say very dissapointed with a garden centre venue. Some of the key points of a meet for me are a nice classic pub venue which generally provide a great back drop for photos and secondly to grab a beer- not a coffee!

I realise that the venue may not be to everyone’s taste Crossle…
unfortunately on this occasion I left my decision to hold a meet far too late, and with the choices of ‘pub’ style venues along the (central for all) A45 Welly-Hardingstone route being very limited in so far as being both suitable and/or able to accommodate us, well I had to put my thinking cap on fast or cancel the July meet.

In so far as your key points…
well what could be nicer than a professionally landscaped garden centre enclosure for a great photo backdrop eh? and grabbing a beer? well I don’t recall anyone ordering beer at the April meet and we still had a great time, so who needs booze eh?

Sounds good, I'm in.

I've always thought it rather odd to have a car meet at a pub, alcohol and driving and all that.
I don't really drink so will be a refreshing change of scenery.

Really? Don't think I have been to a pub without having a beer in my adult life! At these things you have to go with the majority otherwise nothing happens. I am more than happy a local event is being organised and shall be there.

I won't however be buying an assortment of plant pots or a westlife on panpipes CD!

Just as a side-note to the forthcoming meet...
Whilst out and about today I spotted a poster for another Custom Car Show at Castle Fields, Higham Ferrers on 7th August.

I wasnt able to get a photo or take in any other details as I was driving at the time, but I have since found this online so thought I'd post it on here:
