Default Audi V8 quattro UFO front brake discs + windscreen.

The dreaded time has come for me to try and source replacement front UFO discs for the V8 as they are pretty much worn out.

I don't really fancy paying £950 for a new set from Germany so if anyone has or knows of a set for sale please let me know.

I also need a replacement windscreen as it's cracked at the bottom corner, my friend who works in Ayr Audi checked and they've been obsolete since 2008.

If anyone knows if the V8 and 200 winscreens are the same that would broaden my search considerably.

Thanks in advance.

Replaced windscreen on my V8 last August.
First tried my insurance company( Hastings direct)and they could not find a national windscreen company, none of them were interested in doing replacement or could not do it
But they did say if I find a windscreen and independent fitter they would pay for it less excess of £75
After months of searching managed to find a windscreen at
http://www.laddaw.co.uk/html/customer_zone.html
Product code is
8532AGNGWIC
But they only sell to trade
Then found a fitter who could get screen out without damaging the chrome trim, you need find a fitter who has done this job before!! This who I used, speak to Ian
http://www.direct-windscreen-services.co.uk/
Cost was £395 but got £320 back from Hastings

As for UFO's with pads replaced at Tetbury Audi in 09 for £570

Excellent, thanks.

Bristol is a bit far for me to travel for a windscreen fitter but at least i might still be able to get a windscreen.

There's a place in Glasgow so might give it a try.

Did you try this? http://trshop.audi.de/konakart/Selec...ISC&model=0001
They make about 200£ less.

I have a 1991 Audi V8 quattro that was maintained without regard to cost until 2008, when sudden and unexpected disability meant it became impossible for me to drive it. The interior has suffered from it standing outside since, but there is much on it that would be useful for spares if no-one wants it for a restoration project. It would be a great shame to just scrap it in a crusher - the engine had just undergone a complete overhaul, the transmission has a bout 20,00 miles on it (136,000 miles total on the clock).

Yes it's a 3.6, metallic red, originally used by the chairman of VAG UK. I've had it since 1996, its reg is H311EBD. Sorry, I don't have photos (I lost my legs in 2008), but I think it's only the interior that has suffered. I took the instrument panel out because I had heard that this could suffer from damp.
Otherwise I ran it as a company car. We're in Hertfordshire.

I'd be interested in buying it if nobody else is.

I have a set of hp2 calipers discs and pads if that would help. Unfortunately no legs
Motor geek may be useful source of information to help convert and cheaper than ufo discs
