Default Lazy starter motor?

Hi,
I start my 1995 Audi coupe 2.0e 2 or 3 times a week (it`s just parked up for now) the battery is a year old Bosch silver, but each time I try to start it,the starter barely spins,it is only because I persist with it that after 3 or 4 attempts it finally fires into life. The first couple of turns of the key give the impression that the battery is dead and not able to turn the starter. Once the car has started,it can be switched off and restarted without a problem for the rest of the day. Try after a 2/3 day gap then it labours again. I`m sure that battery is good, could it be the starter motor?

Thanks in advance
