i used two cable ties and they worked an absolute treat, eventually got the foam bush cheap enough from somewhere and replaced it. Felt tighter with the cable ties to be honest

These bushes are the same as a MK1 Golf and MK2 Scirocco. GSF sell them, paid about 2 quid a month or so ago for a B2 80 2.2 quattro and it fits perfect.

I have forward movement again ( builder and plasterer took priority for 10 days !! )Easy job and actually the removal of glove box took longer than the rest of the job. I hadn't appreciated that there were two bushes in close proximity, I'd only got one replacement but the second one looks OK - ish, certainly for the time being and I'll get another ready for the inevitable. Now for MOT.... |
