I've found Autoglym bumper care to be the most effective, it looks like green snot but really does the job on all the rubber trim.

Peanut butter is great but doesn't last long, Linseed oil with a heat gun will last

Agreed. That or the like of Nanolex Trim Rejuvenator lasts a very long time.

All the autoglym, or poorboys stuff will go dull again within the space of weeks unfortunately.
