Default Boost Gauge Quiery

Hello,
just fitted a mechanical boost gauge to my 1.8t
engine off reads 0
engine running reads 20 vac
flooring it reads 0
surely it should go above 0?
I've tee pieced it between and inlet manifold and fuel rail

the car runs and drives fine, pulls strongly for a stock engine..

what am i doing wrong?

If car is in neutral gear, you can't over 0.
Read the gauge while driving.

Have you pressure tested your intake system? Any faults in vcds?

Does inlet pipe between throttlebody and IC pressurize when runing engine at idle and opening throttle with other hand?

like i said the car drives fine with no loss of power so i presume the system has no leaks, cant hear any air leeks anywhere

Hm. Take it off, stand against mirror, blow in it and you should see it go around +0.3...+0.5. Lets see what you're made of.
