i'll be taking my quattro to the classic audi stand at audis in the park on the 10th august and will have a for sale sign on it. pop along and say hello and i'll show you around it.

it's a 1985 car and has got approximately 132,000 miles on it. i've spent around £4000 since i bought it three years ago with receipts for all the work. there's a folder full of receipts since 1986 totalling more than £16,000 to date.

and yes, i'll even have the original audi ring decals fitted on the doors for those purists out there!!

Big thanks so far for the advice and tips.

I've spoken to the owner of the Nautic blue mb. It sounds like a nice car but the millage is close to 200,000 and the engine rebuild was done a while ago. Also the comment about colour holds here. I'm not a big fan of nautic. However I am considering it if I can't locate anything else.

I'd like to stick to a UK car if possible, at the moment.

Not looking for an early wr, I drove one many many years ago and I found it wasn't as refined as my mb. I understand later wr models are much better on many fronts, not least refinement.

I'm still looking so any pointers would be very gratefully received.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you selling?

Is it just usage? Mines been MOT'd for about two months now and I've just compared the odometer to the MOT certificate - 194 miles, 120 of which were on the Friday before last!
