Reinstate Youtube Screen

Can Youtube be reinstated?

Since this forum had its major server thingy upgraded about a year back, The whole viewing of youtube vids has changed. (as you have noticed)

Before, you could see what clip members were showing by the small Youtube screen which was viewed on this site

And now every time someone wants to show something....one has to click on a bloody link and be transported to youtube directly and away from this site? which is a big distraction.

Remember the weekend music threads?

They were fun, listening to others music posts.
or a clip of an Audi in action shown on this site

Presume it increases costs on the hosting side of things to embed video. As long as it opens in a new window I can't see any problem. Then you can (at least on a PC) listen to music and read jibberish at the same time!

It doesn't cost anything and is in the forum software, it's just been turned off for some reason.

I prefer embedded videos and would like it switched back on

i just thought that it was my computer that had buggered it up for me!

i would like to see it reinstated too.

It doesn't contibute to data transfer?

I know the videos are still being hosted on youtube.
