There is loads of your type headlight stalks on eBay. Just make sure you get the B3 type with four stalks, rather than the B4 type with three stalks.

What is "genuine radiator" - some 25 years old clogged crap or something that you can buy at nearest audi dealership for twice the price than the same radiator from aftermarket supplier?

If that's for fitting light switch not working not for upgrade from old type switches to new type switches then it makes no difference, unless donor car had airbag and receiving doesn't.

No a Behr radiator that actually fits rather that the shite ones like nissens where the top hose inlet is too far over and these seemto be the only ones anyone can get hold of

This is the nissens one that is listed for every 5 cylinder model

and this is the original one where the pipe doesnt touch the side of the radiator

and yes ive tried to get one with the ports in the right place but no one lists them

Josh, if you want to keep it simple, this is just the job. Straight swap. No bullsit, nice and simples.

Acquiesce and use it. I'm wondering where did that wrong shape come from [maybe some very early audi ], but nissens should be the best in that wrong shape anyway. My A90q previously had Valeo in the same shape, currently it has thermotec, I dunno, is it polish or chinese, in any case, cheap crap, but works nicely, apart from small seepage experienced once. I found that this shape isn't what it should be when I accidentally saw behr radiator in junkyard - then I finally understood why my overflow tank bottom hose is barely long enough.

I actually doubt that Behr 5 pot radiators are currently manufactured - for example, trusted parts supplier, who orders parts straight from manufacturers said half a year ago that he's unable to order Behr made in france B3/B4 heater matrix, only made in china - and behr heater matrix IS the thing to have.

Just noticed this thread and yes, I agree you have to be careful of pattern part rads in my experience; mainly outlet problems. I fitted one to my Sport and had to cut a piece out of the cowling in order to get one of the hoses on, because an outlet was not in the same place. I've been careful to ensure these are correct before buying others. I've kept all my old rads in case they can be rebuilt in the future. Expensive, but it may be the only option one day. G
