I have a C reg. 1.8 Coupe GT, well thats what it says on the side windows. It was first registered 1st of August 1985.

No power steering, no voltmeter. oil temp and oil pressure gauges or electric windows though it does have a spoiler. Poverty model standard.

Currently SORN,d but will be on the road again after nearside rear wing replacement. This was damaged in 1988 by someone running into the back of me. Obviously replaced with a non standard part as an insurance repair as the rest of the car is in reasonable condition. Its only done 149878 miles.

1985 C reg. Coupe GT 1798cc (4 pot carb.)
1985 B reg. Coupe GT 1994 cc (5 pot)

was that spoiler available on the "big bumper" cars?
Yes, as I mentioned earlier, the small rear spoiler was installed in "Coupe" equipment level

hi all

I also own one of these coupes - its an 86 D reg. Owned 4 gts over the years, this one has survived from day 1. Recently passed the 200k mark - its a daily runner, very reliable. I exchanged the dreary brown seats years ago for the GT grey/black seats with headrests. I also changed the pierburg carb for a weber - much faster but fuel economy can be a little poor

I know of a bloke nearby who owns 2 red identical ones, same engine - 1781cc carb. have always pestered him for bits, but he always maintains hes doing up his cars (they've been non runners for years!)

see my gallery pics - its that one

I had an e reg I think, very basic but still had the looks
Woefully slow compared to a kv engined one as I remember but I only owned it 3 days
I think I had a d reg one too but not sure
After 64 Audis things have become slightly blurred
I can remember buying it with tax n test for £140 and selling it for lots more
