Bollox, the reason car insurance keeps going up is through insurance companies in bed with legal firms and repair centres.

Have an accident and they'll repair your car at an 'approved' repairers which will likely cost anywhere from 50-200% more than at an independent. You can be sure that there's a fair level of kickback to the insurers via membership fees or fees to remain 'approved' all whilst ambulance chasers who've been sold your details try to get you to make whiplash claims.

THEY'RE the reasons why insurance is on an ever increasing spiral.

That's perhaps a being a bit harsh. I'm know there's quite a few people on here who drive modern Audis out of loyalty to the brand ,because they love and own the classic ones too. As much as I quite like Clarkson, he really is a cock, but a clever one.

One of my friends who has a bodyshop was fully booked with quattro this and quattro that when we had this recent bit of snow. He told me people who can't drive will suddenly feel brave behind the wheel of a quattro and go out and do something stupid! He don't care as its regular business and the owners quickly want their errors to be rectified so know one clocks what they have done.

I drove my quattro in the snow extensively and wish I had not now as the salt has made the rust come up more than it was.

May be he thought he could reinvent the laws of physics... because he has a quattro and believed it will always stick to the ground.

Guy I know always says he wouldn't drive his Titty in snow without it having the Haldex Controller he fitted. Never driven a car with one myself but I understand the principles of it, so I see his point...
