Been ploughing several times in the UK, it's not quite as simple as it seems, if your using an independent snowplough like in the video, its got to have some serious ballast weight on it, and, when ploughing deep drifts the speed drop off is amazing... Even hitting it with several hundred tonne... The deepest I've ploughed is to platform face depth, which is about five feet, and the drag of snow that deep is incredible.. We were using miniature ploughs on the locos, so the clearing capacity is a lot less than an independent plough... It was like hitting a brick wall... Even at full power...
