I've got the S2 on T1-R's, it was good last couple of snowy years, not brilliant, but good... New set on the fronts too...

Good to,hear.
I know they are Summer tyres, but they'll be a vast improvement on last year.
Just can't justify(£'s),winter tyres.

Good god are the Class 73's still going!

Used to see them quite a bit around Eastleigh along with the Class 33's stationed there.

Went to Watercress line on the weekend with my 18 month old for her first train journey (by steam no less!) They had a Class 50 - 048 (lion I think) fully painted up in NSE livery. Always my favourite when I was but an 11 year old train spotter (blame uncles influence who's made a career out of railway memorabilia!)

Hardly ever snows where I come from. Freak weather area. 99.9% rain. And STILL the gritters are out. If, on the remote off chance snow does fall it melts virtually straight away.

I remember once seeing a seriously high aerial photograph of the country and the whole country was white bar us and another tiny peninsular.
