It is very simple to register, it costs £50 and involves going to the local licencing office and arranging for an inspection, There is one form to fill in and you need proof of tax paid (which I have already taken care of, tax reciept included)

The first person registered is just that, just like a new car.

When I got this car I doubted that I would have much time to work on it and 4+ years down the line that is still the case. For me is has now cost me a little over £8k of which a little over £2.5k is storage costs. I do not regard the 3k price tag as excessive as this is simply the cost of shipping and tax, the purchase price and the mountain of good used and new old stock spares is thrown in.

It was a blast to drive over in New Zealand, I just don't have the time these days to play on the car and have other projects on the go. There are only so many hours in the day.

What supprises me is the general lack of interest from anyone with a modicum of common sense, I get picture hunter and dreamers who can't understand why it might take more than fresh fuel and a battery to MOT (it might do but that is down to them).

At this rate there is a real risk I'll just scrap it as it is bought, paid for and just costing more as time moves forward. That would be a shame as I don't believe there are many like this is RHD. I have been here before with old cars and last time I cut the car up and scrapped it as was going overseas and had a similar situation, I didn't regret it, just a shame to destroy a decent rust free original car.

Back up, lets hope this sells

No, it was £3,500, now £3,000 so that would be a saving. Perhaps you ddin't read the price and got this confused with the cost to me at £6k (now a cost to me of a little over £8k inc. storage -sale price is just shipping and tax, well, slightly less actually)

I'm sure you are also aware that £3,500 back when it was originally advertised would be worth more than £3.5k now (real time money / value) so in simple terms I have knocked over 500 off.

The car is in secure storage and safe there, I also store other parts there and have had a whole vehicle stolen before by a 'serious' buyer from a different storage place. That was expensive to me as it was not insured so not unreasonably given the price my view for some time is if you want the car I will get a fresh round of pics, you turn up with a trailer and cash and buy it.

No tyre kicking, no haggling, either you want it or not.

I have sold far more expensive cars for alot less hassle, and also sold a project remotely for £8k without this bullsh*t this car seems to attract. Maybe it is an Audi thing?

So, when you or anyone can tell me there are loads of original rust free Audi 100 C1's in RHD on offer (i.e. a common car) then I may change my view.

I am cancelling storage on this at Christmas so come end of March 2013 this needs to go back on the road or get scrapped (which would be a shame).

Condition is the same as the pics above, no rusty bits but tyres now need replacing (an age thing, not because they are flat)

Come on guys, pull yer fingers out and stump up the cash and turn up with a trailer and take her away.

Yes, it is a bargain at the price but it will always put people off. if you got it MOT'd and registered, I doubt it would be around for long.

I'm still tempted, but not at £3k though.
