80 Quattro KK engine won't start - Page 3

Going right back to basics had compression spark and some fuel so guessed one of these must have been out, after finding where timing marks where found cam advanced around 80 degrees round! Took belt off timed up flicked key fired straight up sounds lovely turned off ready to order new belt!

So where's best place to order a KK cambelt and waterpump from? I see from Audi they are obsolete

I'd fit a Gates belt.

Water pump should still be available

Took a look in ETKA - water pump was the same for all 5 pots until cam belt changed on NG somewhere in 1988 but looks like cambelt might not be the same.

Audi cambelt dropped without replacement
Waterpump dropped without replacement
Dizzy car dropped without replacement
Rotor arm dropped without replacement

Phone a local parts supplier they are getting me a waterpump and a gates belt kit but can't get a dizzy cap where's best for these guys???
