![]() I had made quite a large order on the 3rd of march quite late in the day on a saturday. (£130ish)
The website had said 3/4 days delivery to N.Ireland. So ignoring saturday and sunday.....3/4 days was today... nothing had arrived, i checked my order online, said not yet dispatched. i phoned them this morning, to ask what was going on, to be told they did not have my engine oil, and that was what was holding the order up. Now i had my car booked in for saturday morning to have work done, requiring products i paid for from this company. I told them they had my contact details and should have let me know there was a hold up, or offered an alternative product. But the chap on the phone seemed to think it was ok to leave me waiting about like a gimp for upto 7 days before it was their duty to inform me of the situation..... After some arguing they admitted this was their fault, i was told they could ship out the rest of the order, but it would be atleast tuesday before it arrived as i live so far away.... What complete bullshit, i recieve products next day delivery all the time from england, when i said this, i was told they would not pay for next day delivery.. I cancled my order! VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IMO.............. venting over for now. ![]() |

![]() That's crap , we ship all over and on economy to Ireland it's 2-3 days . A lot of people chase / tout for orders the fook you about , I had one this week who we've used for years , faxed over the order on a letterhead , 3 days later they phoned to ask where to send it too.... It's on thd fax header , oh right we will check stock and get back to you ..... Still waiting

![]() I've used Opie before, very keen prices but usually 4-7 days delivery.
I placed a biggish order (£150+) a couple of weeks ago, and it took a week to get to me ( for a Range Rovet so loads of oil for engine, gearbox, diffs, transfer boxes etc) Positives are that as a one-stop shop I got all the filters from there as well. In addition, I had to ring prior to order and they were very helpful. But I agree, delivery times aren't the best, and to not be updated about a shipping delay is just shoddy. |

![]() I agree, club discount and good prices don't make up for poor service full stop!

![]() Their prices used to be very keen, but it seems that I can get the same stuff locally for less these days.
The free delivery that they used to do was a big incentive for me too, though there is a minimum order value for that now. Shame really. |
