Default Diamond bound - Hell Yeah !

Oh today is a good day !

after all the hard work of moving and getting the kids into schools of our choice

We are off to Manchester in a bit for a date with Neil Diamond !

This is probably the best day ever for Sally and I - we've had it booked for months and have the view experience tickets ( early entry and champagne reception)

Seen loads of people over the years and some great groups but never anyone better than this guy.

Its Independence day too so I would imagine the roof to be blown off the MEN arena when he's done with America !

Default What a night !

Been to see this fella since 1986 (when they made proper Audi's)

Monday was superb - a meal in Manchester at Tiger Tiger then into M.E.N for the View Experience and a champagne reception - wonderful

This guy astounds me - 70 years old and 2 hours plus non stop his energy levels are beyond me - each time I've seen him I think he might be slowing down and it won't be as good as last time

Not a Chance

Here's how he came on stage ( not Manchester) but the best video I could find from just a few weeks earlier

And how he left us

And a couple from Manchester - We Were THERE

I am presently moving to get my kids into preferable schools.

My dad listens to Niel diamond. He's 70.

I am confused, you cant be 70,you must be of a similar generation to me. So how come you like neil diamond ?

I read the first few posts and nearly posted up that if Neil Diamond was playing at the bottom of our garden, I wouldn't go, other than to maybe tell him to Feck-orf...

But I won't...

Simples

He's one of the best live performers of all time and a great singer songwriter as well

Seriously though a lot of my musical influences like my car influences come from my parents,
I didnt like all of what they had, but Neil Diamond, Carpenters and Simon and Garfunkel I did like plus Eivis of course.

Stayed with it despite loving The Clash, The Jam and such like - just timeless music in my book.

I reckon the average age at the concert last week was nearer 50 than 70 (i'm 44)
