Evening all, i have an '89 NG audi coupe which has been stood for a while and i probably wont ever get round to sorting as its suffering from psoriasis on the roof and bonnet, scuffs and scrapes all round and it has no chance of getting any tlc after picking up the S2 so im going to break it.
I have a potential buyer for the cylinder head but need to check it'll fit the guys audi 100 which has an AAR engine. Both heads look the same at a glance and the codes on the front are the same apart from 1 or 2 digits at the end. They are both 2.3 10v motors. Can anyone please confirm they are ok before i strip it and sell it. Thanks in advance. |

isn't there a difference to the way the injectors are mounted?

Hi, thanks for the response. I think theyre both ke3-jetronic engines according to this web page, http://www.autoshoppingcenter.com/Vo...ginescode.html
Or do you mean the inlet port of the heads are different because of injector angle/position in the manifold? Thanks. |

I believe the NG has the injectors in the manifold and the Audi 100 2.3 injectors are mounted into the head like the KV etc.

Please, anyone explain to me with pics that "injectors in head/injectors in manifold" thing, because I don't get it - all the old audi fuel injected engines I've seen so far has injectors, which are going trough upper side of manifold channels and into their places in head and are pointed to intake valves - including NG, of course. If that's "injectors in manifold", what's "injectors in head" then?

I used NG fuel lines on my NF (slightly shorter though).

And about that NG/AAR thing - I presume only difference between the two is ECU's and some ancillaries, after all, AAR is for C4 and NG for B3/B4 and C3.
