well now the dust of the day has settled I can relax a bit and take stock. Again big thanks to everyone who voted for me. Heaven only know why?. It's a very humbling experience and one I never really expected. I was honoured enough simply to be nominated. Thanks for the very public wishes and the few private messages I have recieved today.
When I first joined this place back in July 2008 I really never anticipated how much this place would become a part of my life. I bought my coupe never having owned an Audi and not really knowing why I was buying it. It was the right price and looked cool, I had a new garage that needed a new toy and I thought I'd have a bit of fun, maybe join a forum, get a few hint's and parts. Reckon I got a little bit more than I bargained for. In the last couple of year's I've almost got divorced (not long now), given up smoking and a couple of other bad habits, spent more on a car than I anticipated, seen members come and go, learnt some new skills, seen my football team promoted, got a couple of years closer to my SAGA membership, fell asleep at car shows, got drunk twice in a field, slept in a big tent, slept in a tiny tent, cooked sausages and bacon for our qoc friends at Tatton, spent a weekend in the lakes with new friends and a wonderful lagos blue quatty, found bargains on ebay, spent over the odds on ebay, learnt some basic photography, swore, cursed, shouted, laughed, cried and enjoyed myself. Most of all though, when all is said and done, I have met some great people here. Warm and welcoming, inspirational, talented, generous of spirit, honest and big hearted. And its the people here that make this place what it is for me, a special place to be treasured, and a place to escape from a mad world. I treasure my time here. Thank you for making me welcome and thank you to Coxy for making this place happen. Here's a few memorable bits I hope you'll enjoy (hopefully another compilation coming soon) oh and............................................... .......... up yours the lot of ya ![]() ![]() ![]() Movie 1 http://www.blip.tv/file/1569415 Movie 2 http://www.blip.tv/file/1976794 Movie3 http://www.blip.tv/file/2740181 |

never mind Q,perhaps the tactic ' less is more 'for next year
![]() It was close.Im not going to be double faced and say, hurray for martin ,he s a top bloke but i didnt vote for him .didnt stop us having a laugh at the ladybower. On the other hand if it wasnt for the kid i wouldnt have found my way here. Typically ,the person least wanting the limelight and not really bothered about personality of the year award 'Wins' .And the one most wanted it and would have meant more to 'lost'. Thats just my take on things ,i dont want to take anything away from the winner.I like martin and i like the kid.and i didnt like to be put in the position of having to choose.
