Hmmm. If time travel were possible, what possible good could come from it? Disrupting the past could have grave consequences to what occurs in your own lifetime.
Just look at the problems Jean Claude Van Damme had in Time Cop! ![]() Imagine if Rupert Murdoch travelled back in time. What on earth would the future hold for us then... ![]() Going into the future could prove just as disasterous. Just imagine if the wrong person (Osama Bin Laden for example) got hold of the lottery numbers. He could have unlimited funds for his Western bothering extremists. Or he could get his grubby mits on cloning technology and have an unlimited army of suicide bombers... Frightning thought i'm sure you'll agree. However, although the possibility of time travel could "destroy us all", i'm sure we'll keep trying. In the immortal words of the Terminator: "Its in your nature to destroy yourselves" In Event Horizon. The ship had the ability to create its own black holes or something, in order to jump to other points in space/time instantly. Thats got to be worth a go hasn't it? Just avoid coordinates for Hell though. Besides, if Michael J Fox, and Christopher Lloyd can do it, how hard can it be.......? |

In my recent experience, British companies are at the backfront of time related technologies. For instance. I've worked in engineering before (but not after), where some company managers have made projects last an eternity, and at the end, we haven't moved forwards. This is the time stands still principal. However, those who have studied management principals exclusively, are able to view this from a completely different perspective- ie lost time. In most cases, we seem to have harnessed the ability to go backwards. A lot. The one common factor though, is that time travel does not necessarily mean providing a second chance to get it right. As repeated cockups of the same nature abound. (forget about shooting Hitler. Get someone better than Tom Cruise to blow him up) Want proof of time travel? I know a bloke who seemingly keeps buying the same car. It's a time warp, surely...

You were 'abducted' by aliens*, and have 'lost' a fair chunk of time. *could be any number of future or past government agencies. They thought processes alone mean they are alien to us.

If you travel back in time and pop off one of your distant relatives, and by doing so (popping off great grandad) you would effectively put your self out of existence. You would never have existed, Then because you don't exist, you would not be able travel back in time and pop off one of your distant relatives, therefore you would exist and thus you would be able to travel back, then by doing so (popping off great grandad) you would effectively put your self out of existence. I could go on but it would get repetative, as I said I could go on but it would get repetative,
