Default 1986 1.8GT Audi Coupe For Sale inc Private Plate
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : GT Coupe
Price : £350
Location : Stokesley, N.Yorks
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook),Taxed,MOT'd

Hi All,

One of my Dads Friends is the Exectutor of his best friends will. He was going to trade the Audi in for a Brand Spanking new Volvo as he was given £4k scrappage for it. Poor Chap died before getting the keys to his new car

So the car is up for sale and the money will be donated to the RSPCA as the dead chap requested in his will!

So the details are:

1986, Originally on a C-Plate, only 2 owners from new, 139,000miles, 1.8 Carb engine, Full custom Stainless exhaust system (£400 worth), It has an MOT and Tax till end of March so can be driven away.

It drives lovely, the motor starts on the button, and has plenty of go, Mechanically wise it has never wanted for anything, the piles of reciepts and money spent is quite incredible, It's had new suspension, custom stainless exhaust system (sounds good actually), new 2nd hand Carb etc etc etc The guy used it as his daily driver up untill he was taken ill.

Unfortunatley the body is not so good, the front wings have surface rust, there is bubbling around the A-Pillers, the back arches have had it (Been quoted £400 to do those) and the bottom of one of the doors has rusted too. Have taken pics.

The 16 Spoke 14" Genuine Ronal alloys have recently had a refurb and the tyres have plenty of tread on them.

The interior is in very good gondition, no rips or tears on the seats, has a fairly rare Italvonti 4-spoke sports steering wheel fitted, but it is quite rough, It could probably be recovered in leather and look as good as new!

The Private plate comes with the car and I have had it valued at £500!!!

Not sure where to go on price TBF! I'll say £350 ono to put a figure down! It has to be worth that for the plate alone!!!!

Pics:

Car is Located in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. 01642 711213 and ask for Richard.

Well the A-Pillars are a screen out job and not sure on the Arches, maybe you can still buy the arches to weld in!

It drives spot on so the mechanicals are all good, It would make a good project for somebody or as much as it pains me to say, it would be good to break as they're is a fair bit of money in the car in spares!!!

I always thought the Coupe GT was the 1.8DZ fuel injected engine? Didn't know they did a carb version.

Learn somethign every day.

Neither did I Steve and I worked at a VAG dealer from 85-92. Never saw one with a carburettor.

Having said that, we have the GT5S for sale at the moment which is clearly a GT5E from the pics of the engine and its on an A plate, so can't be an original quad lamp.

This looks an honest car and at £350 looks a snip. Looking at the photo's more carefully, it does not have the black window surrounds or sports seats so maybe there was a very basic Coupe on the market that I'm not aware of.
