Default set of clocks for CQ

Has anyone got a set of clocks for a 1986 CQ ? temp. guage isnt working on mine so im guessing a new set of clocks is the only answer.

I assume you tried a new temperature sender. It might not be the dial at all.

The gauges are very basic and unlikely to be the cause. If need be though I have the water temp gauge seperate.

my mate says he cant check it for power, im not big into electrics so i have to take his word for it. he wants me to just buy an aftermarket guage and wire it up. id prefer to stay original.

not for power, just get a meter set on "continuity" and check the wire is not broken somewhere. Put one probe on the sender, and one probe on the gauge end, and make sure the meter "beeps".......... to show the wire is in one piece.......

He should be able to at least check the wire for continuity, this will determine if the cables are damaged or not.
