I know this is one of my first posts but this is a bargain and I would have this off him if I had the readies....
![]() For sale is my stepdads Volvo 850 T-5 in racing green. This car has been in the family for the last 10 years, and had only one previous owner (he is the second owner) and has been very well looked after. The car has always been looked after and anything its needed has been done, and always to a high standard. Much nicer shape than the V70 too :P Awesome car, never had any trouble. Had a turbo pipe a year ago or so (due to a teeeny oil leak), but has never wanted anything. Service history was lost by the previous owner but since we have had the car it was serviced at Volvo (full) at 110,000 and 120,000. It was then serviced at an independant garage at 133,000, 138,000, and 148,000 at a cost in excess of 300£ each time. The car is now on 153,000, which as we know is massively low for these, especially for this year. Has good tyres all round and suspension is good. Has had discs and pads all round a year or two ago and has NEVER been thrashed or driven hard. Cruised to the south of France in it several times and it has been faultlessly reliable. When driven sensibly it will get about 35MPG on a run, which isnt bad when you consider the size, weight and power of the thing. Goes into all gears fine, and ABS, Electric Windows, Electric sunroof, Central locking, cruise control, heated seats all work fine. Has half leather interior which has worn extremely well (looks like it has half the miles), including 3x rear headrests. Has a baby seat built in - in the rear bench in the middle. Clutch, gearbox, engine, chassis, bodywork and interior are all way above average for the year and this car will genuinely go on for years and years and years to come. Towbar with electrics that work. USed 3 or 4 times to tow a teeeny trailer to the tip. Paintwork is really good (excuse the pics, it needs a clean) but has a few small niggles. Front and rear bumpers have a small scuff on one corner of each. Doesnt detract from the car. Front passenger wing has a dent about the size of a 5p (can be seen in the photos) and the rear drivers light has a crack at the top. Never been a problem for the MOT. Has been through the last 3 MOT's with no work needing doing. Only selling as a new vehicle has been aquired, and the volvo has been sat for 6 weeks and we cant bare to see it not being used. The buyer will not be dissapointed. In summary - Faultlessly reliable 12 months MOT Not sure on tax, will check asap. Fully loaded spec, electric toys galore! Good S/H (Some dealer) Solid as a rock, NO RUST. Had a look on ebay, and more tired cars with another 50,000 on the clock and poor bodywork seem to go for around £800-£1000, and some of those are autos, where this is a manual (much better!) Offers over £1000 will be listened to. Pics (Sorry, it needs a clean, was done about 2 weeks ago but lots of rain since then!) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (drivers bolster ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (crack in rear lens ![]() ![]() Engine - very clean, no leaks, knocks bangs or rattle (even says 'turbo' on the arbox (as standard!!!). Awesome. ![]() |

![]() Very nearly bought a T5R instead of the S6. Very reliable and solid. Good price too.

![]() Looks nice, but I'm slightly jealous, as it has the tailgate spoiler and mine hasn't.
Frighteningly fast car. When I got mine it had a new mot and two new front tyres, which isn't surprising considering the power going to those front wheels. Why oh why did Volvo change to front wheel drive ? |

![]() Ditto that! Interior no match for the Audi and the Volvo is 2wd if I am correct and in standard T5 form handled like a dog compared to the equivalent Ur S4 of the time. Great for the Motorways though which is probably why the Police love them..
