![]() mine would have to be a tickford capri as they wer 15k standard with out additional xtras on them ie wilton carpets connely roof lining e,sunroof etc etc althou i would have been 13yrs old lol got 6 of them at the moment but i do like the monza,s & the celica supras had a few of both my uncle bought a brand new manta gte exclusive coupe in 86 was the bizz bck then

![]() Strangely I had a moonstone 3dr Cosworth back then, and subsequently a low miles RS500; back in the day they were fast, but having driven one all these years later I wonder what all the fuss was about.

![]() On a different tack, Hooleys Of Worksop were TurboTechnics dealers back then; I had a twin-stage XR2 turbo from them, followed by an XR3i twin-stage turbo (both used).
I also had a black XR4x4 twin turbo they called 'The Beast' that had been ordered new by a 38yr old housewife which produced 280bhp from its 2.8 litres. A phenomenally quick car for the time, it had various boost issues plus problems with the wiring loom where the appointed TT mechanic at Hooleys had butchered it, so it was returned to them and after numerous attempts to sort it, and threats of legal action against them I got a full refund. Ah, those were the days.... |
