I am sure there is room for change and improvements.

The first phase will probably entail a simple update to the platform operating software. Or whatever the software file call it.
But by all means start a thread with suggestions, requests.

We shall engage a developer to investigate the stability issues, and to make recommendations

Getting it stable is the first priority
It became predictably unreliable and there was little incentive to come on
The forum does need to change and move with the times after that
