replacing gt coupe injector seals . . . . .

hi all,
i decided to replace my injector seals to see if i can get the naff starting - and even more naff running - sorted out,
i havent really had any experience with injectors b4, but i have got them out and got my new seals. my old seals were rock hard and a bit chipped in places. my problem is, that i have noticed what looks like a corroded c-clip just under the big seals. does anyone know if this was once part of the seal or a seperate thing? it looks like they were seperate, and will they be ok without this ? the new seals seem like they will be pretty tight - if i ever get them on this is probably a stooopid question, but do i need to take the injector apart to get the big seals on ?

my injectors do look a bit rough but i intend on putting them back in as the problem is only when idling , and she fires well otherwise, so im assuming the injectors themselves r ok.

i did try spraying them with WD to try and see if they were the problem but as the car hunts quite badly anyhow and doesnt run for more than a couple of minutes, it was hard to tell, so i though id give them a look anyway THANKS!!
