I used to love,still do, Paul Hardcastle and David Green of First light before Paul went solo.

Another couple of all time classics. Here's a lesser known gem from each of those artists. Both great in their own right. The Gwen McCrae track was big on the rare groove scene.
Saw Donald Byrd live in Newcastle at the Riverside, must've been very late 80's or early 90's. He was outstanding.
