Default Having a low moment with my UR

Sadly my UR has been laid up since September when the poorly tightened crankshaft woodruff key finally gave way and chewed up my engine whilst in the car park of a company I was interviewing at (and didn't get the job!)

For two months it stood outside in the rain until I could finally pull it up my 1:5 driveway.

January time came and I finally got my wifes friends boyfriend, the VW mastertech to strip the engine down, crack test and skim the spare WR head I was given by missfire (many thanks again!).

Removing the old head discovered that it had been ported and polished so the decision was taken to take my original head away to get crack tested and skimmed. Along with the head the guy took all the engine parts I'd sourced from Germany to rebuild the car.

Silly tart (wife's friend) finally shows her crazy side so the bf gives up and finishes with her.

After a month (I was on holiday for the most of it) I finally get his phone number by calling his work. It's now another month and a bit and I keep getting excuses why he's not been able to strip the head and get it tested. I'm stuck

I've got no one I can trust enough or anyone I know in the Southampton area with the skills to help me rebuild the engine (he's left bits everywhere in the already cramped garage) and I'm hesitant to go in to bullish to get my stuff back incase he holds back on some or all of the very costly parts that he's got, but at the same point I'm running low on patience.

If there's someone with the skills locally who could do the rebuild I'd call him and arrange to collect the parts asap, as the last thing I want is to completely write him off and yet have no one to be able to rebuild my car.

It's got to the point that despite the car otherwise being mechanically very good and needing then only needing tidying up (refitting interior, blow over) I'm seriously considering selling up and letting someone else enjoy the motor (I've done 4,000 miles in the four years I've owned it due to the work I've done on it).

Urghhh

So depressing seeing the car in it's state in my garage with no frickin skills to sort it
