Ive bought pagid brake discs/pads for front and rear of my 100 turbo, started on the rear. Everything looked the same as what i took off but refitting was not happening.
The piston wound back in but kept winding, didnt actually go far enough in to get the caliper over the new pads/disc. I refitted the old disc and pads, took it for an hours drive, the rear side i was working on was almost glowing red, you could smell the heat and feel it 6inches away, the face of the alloy was extremely hot ![]() I guess the piston is now stuck on, pressed in all the time. Do you think i need a new caliper(s) or have i done something wrong???? Ive not got to the fronts yet New pagid rear discs and pads ![]() ![]() You can see that the caliper wont fit ![]() ![]() |
