Whos car is this.....?

Spotted just off jct 23 of the M5 (Bridgewater) in a layby. Luckily i had my camera with me.
Didn't think 80's were named "GTE" in the Uk. It looks real tidy, with just the usual wear on the drivers seat bolster (creativly repaired!).
I left a note under his/her windscreen wiper, so you never know....
