![]() 1 Registration lights out. 2 Nearside rear+ front brake pipes corroded. 3 Offside front brake pipe corroded. 1 Easy fix(?),fuse blown. 2+3 Not that difficult,to change. The only trouble is,all my tools are about 14 miles away. I will have to,cadge a lift.Could have been, worse. I LOVE CLASSIC CARS. ![]()

that's not a lot for a classic car.
Brake line corroded is a common failure. Either flexi hoses have a few hairline cracks or there's a smidgen of rust on the pipes. Probably an over zealous examiner who didn't get his end away at the weekend or a Man Utd fan! |

As Coxy said,I think they were after the fix?To me they don't look that bad.
I'll replace the fuse tomorrow and hope it doesn't blow again. If it does, the hunt begins.

Why leave it so late to get it Tested?...You can do it One calendar month before which gives you time to fix it.(if it Passes you get 13 month MOT)...I dont understand why people leave it to the death tbh...
.Anyway 2012 will bring many changes to the MOT test according to VOSA,so be better prepared next time....Anyone removed a CAT Converter on a Pre 92 car will now have to have one fitted.."Catalytic convertor missing" will be a fail...Regardless of the Emissions reading... |
