Default Coupe Rear wiper

Hiya....every car that I have had with a rear wiper has gone tits up at some stage
Now its the turn for the B3 Coupe....it was all working fine but now its kaput/fubar
Everynow and then it will burst into life and then I cant turn it off!!
The rear pump/jets has also stopped......I;m thinking its either the switch on the steering wheel or there is a relay hidden somewhere thats playing up....Does anyone know if there is a relay and where before I start to strip things down and do a continuity test.
Cheers

My money is on a broken wire in the loom in the bit that has the rubber sleeve on it, from the car to the tailgate....

Ah clearly not if its got a mind of its own!!!

I'd check the wiring first behind the rubber bendy bit (technical term !) at the top of the tailgate - If you think about everytime the tailgate is opened the wiring is moved and can be stretched if the the loom is a bit tight - did loads and loads of repairs on these on Polo's, Golf's , Scirocco's and yes B3 Audi Coupe's.

Same applies to all Audi's with lights in the boot lid !!
