I had a set of stripes made up from my project 80 Sport ( now sold , phew! ) and the colours are very similar to those on this advert. Just where do you think the differences are ....for sure the colours are going to fade a bit over the years but I'm interested to hear where the differences actually are ?

I did ( "brass" type ) rubbings of mine to get the shape and measurements correct from the originals, so it can only be a colour issue I presume ?

when I bought the car it had the correct stripes on.... When I re sprayed it (3 times) in the ten years I owned it I could not get any one to perfectly match the original colours.

Coxy, I think the first time we met was at a car meet in oldbury retail park

From what I can remember of the white 80 Sport ( 1983 vintage ) the colour of the stripes were orange, grey and black. I don't remember them being either red or brown....but hey, it's a few years back now.

Found these pictures on the internet and "borrowed" them , this IS how I remember my car of that time.
