Martyn, I'm SOO glad you preceeded that remark with the word "Raliegh"!!!!!

I am of course far too young to have had either new but, my big bruv had a Grifter, the worlds toughest, and as I rememebr heaviest bike! He used to do some crackers stuff on it!
I had the misfortune of having to use a Chopper to ride to my school bus stop for about 4weeks while my Giant was being repaired once - something I shall never forget! But the Grifter's gotta be the best! It's as close to a pedal powered tank you'll ever get!

Seaters!?!?!

We called 'em 'backies'!

Anyone ever manage to pull a wheelie in a Grifter????

Damn, them things weighed a bloody ton!

And how many people who had a chopper smacked their happy sac on the gear stick after some serious braking!?!?!

I was a chopper man!
although that got replaced with a 5 speed racer which I equipped with the obligatory 'cow horn' handlebars!!!!!!!!!!
