Default Michael Marston aka Micky R.I.P

Shocked to discover this today, but it appears he passed in May 2020 after contracting Covid19.
He'd drifted away from Classic Audi in recent years to concentrate of the restoration of Classic Coaches.
He was a regular in the early days to The Midlands Breakfast Club, Audi Driver International & The German Classic Show at Haigh Hall.
A very pleasant fellow who completed several epic restorations and owned dozens of classic Audi's over the years, but his speciality were Type 43's one of which is on the cover of the latest Practical Classics magazine.
Very saddened to learn of this tragedy
He was presented with Restoration of The Year Award as voted for by forum members. The car is on the front cover of this months Practical Classics mag.

I’m so sorry to be reading this. Michael was one of the very first people I met in this community when I bought my coupe all those years ago. When I was on the hunt for parts he gave me a huge box of bits including quad lamp surrounds for much much less than their market value. Always one of the first faces to meet and greet at the Cosford Breakfast Club meets. A big man with a giant heart.
RIP Micky and thank you so much for your generosity, kindness, passion for the things that mattered and your friendship 💔💔

Very sad news. He was a lovely guy and very genuine. I bought his immaculate coupe quattro off him in 2010 which I kept for three years.

He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. RIP Micky and love to his family.

Micky was a real character!
Funny, very kind, and cared about his friends. Whenever he came on here i would get a private message asking how i was doing with the cars etc.

Micky, you were one of a kind and will be missed big time.

I've been speaking to his brother David today, he appreciates the kind comments, he didn't realise that the Classic Audi Community didn't know about this.
