Default One for mikes2 !? Oil pump7A

Before I unscrew the oil temp sender from my 7A...........anything I should know......like is this doubling as the retainer for the pressure relief valve/spring or other such weirdness?
I suspect not?

Cheers.

I changed the oil pressure sensor on an ABC engine a few years ago & there were no such obstacles. Off with the old one, straight on with the new one. Barely a drop of oil spilt.

Not sure if I am correct here, but if it's anything like a WR pump, it will be something like this

https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...act=mrc&uact=8

A small amount of oil will come out possibly followed by spring and plunger.
Note which way round the plunger goes - narrowed end into the spring as per picture

Just had a new 7A pump in bits to prime with vaseline and the photo on urquattr085 post is correct.
