Default North West Classic Audi ,Irish annual road run

have noticed that the classic audi numbers have risen up here in the hills of donegal lately and wondered what you thought of getting together for a spin round donegal at the end of september, thought about making it a charity thing but i dont have the knowledge or patience to organise that... so an informal get together to blow off some cobwebs is what im thinking, getting tired of the sitting in a field all day buzz, so if ya have or know anyone who has a classic audi, (pre A series as akin to the forum,) see if they would be interested in coming along..

thanks..john

Look forward to them.

Are the GT's original Irish or ex-UK?

One of each! The '81 is original irish, 1 owner with v. low miles! The '87 is ex UK but in Ireland for about 16 years.

An original Irish 81 GT - I wouldn't be surprised if it is unique, since there can only have been a handful registered that year. I've only ever seen one GT with old style Irish plates so will enjoy the pics when you post.
Cheers
Chris

Yes I have not seen another one but I'm sure they're about. I've no pics of that one posted yet. It's in the corner of the shed awaiting attention! Not in great shape, rear quarters, boot floor and boot door are all bad. Pillars and front are fine (surprisingly!) Shes a 5 cyl 2.0L Carb! model. I'll take a few pics and post over next few days. It's Diamond Silver on tax book, looks light blue to me.

I saw a Mars Red one down in Tralee in 1993 - uncharacteristically I can't remember the exact reg, but think it was an 83 with a ZX index, so local if I'm right.

The only other one I know of is the Helios Blue one that has been for sale on Car and Classic for ages - an original Dublin reg from 1982.

Look forward to your pics.

NB. Styler, apologies for thread drift - hope you get the gathering together
