one for you camera buffs out there. Bagged me a new flash gun this week. It's a Sigma 530 ES Super from Parks Camera's at a not to bad price either at £169
So I'm going to be trying it out in ernest this week and working on a technique I really haven't utilised before. Also got a Tamron lens from Jessops, 70-300mm zoom with macro F4.5.6for the princely sum of £99 english quids. Couldn't really pass it up for the price, will be interested to see how it performs and it means I can put my manual zoom to bed. |

I'll let you be the guinea pig on that one!
I got a Speedlight for my birthday last year, and I'll be honest, it's a darn site easier to land on the moon than work out how to use a flash gun to it's fullest potential! You can get some superb effects. Especially with timed exposure and a flash in places with little light! This is a simple effect which my mate Tom showed me taken at our xmas part last year. think it was either 2.5 or 3 seconds with a flash. Take the pic, then moved the camera around willy nilly! The light trails were made from xmas tree lights which were behind him. ![]() |
