Glad to confirm this car is sold. First 250 miles were a dream. Lovely car and has tones of life left in it. Hugh thanks to the seller, true gent.

Nice one Mark , great news
Is this the same colour as your old S6? & curiously how does the manual 2.8 drive compared to your S6 ? Cheers Chris

Great to meet you too and thanks for all the help, it was a difficult trip to organise just trying to tie everything up. I probably picked the worst week end to come over with the weather, delayed flights, cancelled ferries etc etc but all good in the end!

The car is very similar to the S6 I had in terms of colour and interior, both being identical. There is even a key mark along one of the back doors which was exactly the same on the S6, very weird! This A6 has slightly better spec than the S6 I had which is saying something. It must have just about every option on it I think. On the road it hard to say as it has been a while since I have had the S6. A few things though the A6 is slightly more driveable between 1000 and 2000 I think because of no turbo lag and lower gearing. The gearing is lower as I say and think 5th at 3000 in the A6 is about 65 where you would be over 70 in the S6 if I remember right. The V6 seems very quiet and smooth, smoother overall than the I5T I would say. Similar kind of noise at time and completely different at others, but I like it. The V6 has no where near the top end of the S6 which is no comparison with 20vs and turbo. In saying that it seems fairly happy to rev to 6000, never had it about that yet. Seems decent on fuel too, not you expect miracles with something like this. Averaging low 30's with a combination of motorway, town, country roads, and window down driving. Nice unit and looking forward to getting to know it better. On the road the car is rock solid, very well set up car and simply unbelievable it has that many miles on it. Plenty of torque to zip along so as I say pleasantly surprised. Very happy with the car and looking forward to munching many more miles with it.
