Hi all
In my first Coupe I had years ago, I used to run 20W/50 as per the handbook and change every 5k. I did 108k (sold at 216k) with no significant engine wear. What are others using? I know people have suggested 10W/40 semi in the past but what are you thoughts? Thanks Last edited by 86audicoupe; 02-07-19 at 08:09 PM. |

What do you think you’ll gain by stopping using something that’s recommended by the manufacturer and appears to have done its job magnificently???

I used 20/50 in my JS with no problems at all.......I did try 10/40 at one time but it was a bit rattily on the tappets, these are old engines design wise and I would go by what the manufacture recommends.
