Not in to all this fancy shmansy smell the citrus, seaweed, honey, almonds, nectar and chilli stuff, but my faves are

Coxy, I like Shiraz very much. Better than half of the wines I buy are shiraz or heavily blended with them.

Yellow Tail out of Australia has a nice Shiraz -Grenache blend that is great for the money.

How available are the California wines in Angl-land?

You can go to most off licences / super markets in the UK and chose from about 100 wines per country from all over the world!

i'm a big fan of wine but one of best, female, friends recently went on a wine tasting course. When i asked her why, she told me it was about "learning life skills", but when i later met some of her co-tasters i had to warn her it did seem like "life skills for tw**s".
She did speak to me again....eventually

Are you? We have our hooligans too.

A label we repeatedly turn to is Cline. Their Old Vine Series is excellent. The "Cashmere" has never failed to deliver.

Cline is a California winery/vintner.

Thus my question before regarding the availibility of Calif. wines.

I'm sure you get dozens of French labels in England we rarely if ever see publically available.

Really got into wine recently especially Red's in the main Rjocas or Cabernets....

Had a cross blend wine the other day which was very nice

Think it was Merlot and Shiraz together, was very nice.... although after 4 bottles between 2 of us it all became a bit hazy

I never got into wine. I really wish I could because im sure id adds an air of sophistication to a persons character. That and you can get drunk really quickly on it.
