After a prolonged chat with the bank today to resolve security questions, among other things, it got me to thinking-
Which is worse?
An Indian call centre, where they run a script, in broken english, with limited understanding of the subject, or of the responses given if they are not exactly the response they expect to hear.
or
A british call centre, staffed by (in this case) a woman who talks incessantly, to the extent that I am out of breath listening to her, and barely gives me a chance to give her the information she's requesting, and what she does hear, she gets wrong.
I might be wrong (happens a lot these days, it seems) but if you never listen to the customer, you'll never know what he wants.
