Default HP Printer Ink

I have a HP Photosmart C410b printer, in an attempt to save money I decided to refill my cartridges done this a couple of times with no problems, today after refilling, printer control panel flashed up a notice saying the" printer was damaged by using non HP cartridges and repairs would not be covered by warranty "I then fitted a new black cartridge that I had printer recognised as HP but will not print, however it will copy in colour and black.
Any Ideas please?? or have I really knackered my printer by trying to be a cheap skate?
Thanks

go trough the menu, there should be automatic cleaning or something like that I don't think it's damaged.

Try and go through cleaning modes , I would nit be surprised if they had tweaked the chips on the oem stuff as they do rip us off . Try googling the model number and see if it throws up any problems too

The chips have a paper count type of thing in them and you need a resetting thing for the oki toners I use tbh

on the old hp printer we had where i used to work . the system was put tape on the 4 contacts on the left side of the cartridge. plug it in printer power up wait 5 seconds then peel tape off. then do the same for the right side.

Its on an ink filling website somewhere if i remember correctly

Cleaned the print heads OK once I figured out how to do it,printer states that ink is low, guess I,ll invest in some HP cartridges and try again!
