Really wish it didn't have to go, but it does. My Dad gave up driving 3 years ago and the car hasn't been used since. Service history, lovingly maintained. New MOT, all cleaned and polished, The end of an era. We've had this for 9 years and in that time it's only done 16k. Economy model but remarkably quick when necessary. On a classified ad for £1495 and see how it goes. Price is negotiable so feel free to PM me if interested.

BMW 525e

4 Speed Automatic with mechanical lockup on 4th (which acts like an overdrive)

Mileage - 124,165. (only done 16k in the last 9 years).

New MOT

Always kept in the garage.

No Tax but the car is still insured, so can be taxed at cost for a buyer subject to prior payment.

Cambelt and aux belts done about 4000 miles ago.
Recent spark plugs, ignition leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, oil and filters.

These were detuned for economy, still have a good pull and good mpg

That one defintely does. It's quicker than mine (same make and model, similar mileage, 2 months newer).

The sad thing is a lot of those 525Es get cannibalised for their 2.7 engines, which fit straight into e30 3 series cars, but often fitted with a 323i head and bigger throttle body for added power.

Love these. High compression engines, supposed to return 30mpg which is great for an auto.

Remember these coming out, there was a big thing made of them being "e" and not "i" like a standard 525 sales blurb was all eta efficiency. These model 5 series are cracking cars, and the six cylinders sound superb when revved.

A friend of a friend use to do abit of twoc (daddys car) in one of these back in the days
a gold c plate one, even with 5 of us....it use to shift!.....very smooth all the way

i had a 518i manual dark blue, cracking car
