Hi - having now managed to get my non starting project 90Q running reasonably I have turned to other faults ( there are lots of them ! )
One is really bugging me - the temperature gauge doesn't read - needle doesn't move . I have read a lot about dashboard problems and hoped to have cracked this but no ! I have - replaced the temp sensor on the elbow off the head / temp gauge / voltage stabiliser ( the petrol gauge didn't work either but does now ) / taken the dash instruments apart and re soldered the rings holding the gauge to the board and re soldered most of the other visible joints. No luck . Before I buy an EBay complete replacement binnacle - any ideas please ! |

if you ground the wire for the temp sender with the ignition on, the gauge should move all the way across - that will confirm the gauge is ok.

Mine did the same when I fitted it, the connector at the rear of the gauge turned out to be faulty
