An £££££ scrapper then.

I use ADRIAN FLUX and have found them ok. An agreed valuation was not too much of a ball ache and fairly easy to do online too. There are many more options if you do a quick Google search.

Just in the middle of the same process.

So far with good feedback I've had quotes from Keith Michaels and HIC for agreed value.

As far as an agreed value.

I think as enthusiasts we are more likely to know what it would cost to replace our cars. With prices rising quite markedly with all classics it pays to up your agreed valuation on a regular basis.

I know I added 7k to mine this year. I had to give do a few extra photos and fill a form in and pay a small fee but it wasn't questioned at all. As long as you pay the increased premium I think yiu can more or less name your value?

In the event of a loss or an accident it pays to be over insured IMO. These cars aren't easy to find or keep in top condition and even harder to replace.

I've never had to claim on a classic car policy but I'm sure the insurance companies would still try to wriggle, even with an agreed value.??

I had it valued 2 years ago and insured with Lockton. They've asked for a new valuation, so I thought I'd shop about this time.

There's a lot out there , I'm with Lancaster and don't have a problem . A lot of the club approved ones are not cheap trust me and you don't need to be in a club these days although I'm in a few

Was with Lancaster too for the last 8 years, never had any issues with them, but this year they wanted an extra £200 as my car lives on a gated driveway not in a garage. I tried Adrian Flux and although not dissimilar in price they gave me more miles and just seemed to want the business more...?!

Due to the 'uniqueness' and large amount of modifications on mine, it has always been a nightmare to get AV insurance for mine. Adrian Flux are about the only company that will cover it with a £25k AV. Others have made promises but fail and just ends up costing me money. HIC is owned by Adrian Flux. They did not offer that high an AV.
If your car is standard and a classic, there are plenty of companies to give you good cover at low premiums with AV. HTH
As a matter of interest, how much AV did you get Stuart if you don't mind me asking?
