If it's straight out of the paint shop and has a good finish to it and has already been mopped then you shouldn't need to polish it at all.
2 sorts of protectant.
Easiest is probably applying a coat of wax, then keep up a regular wash routine and top up the wax say every 4-6 weeks.
Other is using a product such as Zaino which is polymer based as opposed to natural wax based.
