Wouldnt take long if you have the wire available.

Been there, done that.
It's on my agenda if I can't get sorted. The original problem was that there had been some corrosion which had fused to the coil and the earting plate. When this was cleaned off some of the copper wire broke away. I did think about soldering over, but would rather try and get the replacement part first.
